FAQ

What is my website address?

When you create an account you choose the school's website adddress. A good website address includes the school's nickname. For example, if your school's name is Process Oriented Learning Center, parents and teachers may refer to it as POLC. A good website address would then be http://www.polc.schoolpad.ph.

Is it really free?

SchoolPad will have free and a few paid options. Don't worry. The free version comes with features to get you started.

So why are we offering a free version? There are 2 reasons.

One, we want all schools in the country, public or private, to have their own website. We believe Internet technology can help keep parents, teachers, and the school community connected.

Two, just like you, we hate paying for products that don't live up to its advertised promise. Try the free version to see if it fits your school needs. Not only that, the free version does not expire. You can upgrade your account later after 1 month, or after 1 year, or never. Of course, we do wish that you upgrade Smile.

Is there a catch with the free version?

The truth is supporting the free version requires money. To be able to sustain the free version, we would include a tiny advertisement in your website. Don't worry this is very much unlike what you see in inconsiderate websites where 85% of the screen is littered with senseless ads. Look at our demo website to view a sample of the ad.

If you avail the paid options, the ads will go away!!!

Do I need to undergo a website development training?

We would like to say everything would be taken care of but that would be a lie. You still need to have some technical skills but we guarantee a lot of technical details in building a website have already been taken care of. But don't take our word for it. Try SchoolPad and if you find it easy to use, tell your friends. If you get headaches instead, please tell us so we could improve it.

What's the motivation behind SchoolPad?

Not too long ago, an OFW emailed Greg asking for a list of school websites in the Philippines because our OFW friend was looking for a school for his son. Greg was only able to give him a handful because that is all he could find. "Why aren't there many school websites in this era of the Internet?", our OFW friend wondered.

We wondered, too. That is why we decided to build a tool that would make it easy for schools to build their own website.
